Readers
The following products are used to read information from RFCode Tags and Sensors and forward that information to RFCode or third party software. They are a core component of any RFCode deployment. The basic level of location resolution is which reader can be read at the highest strength. This is typically referred to as zonal location resolution.

RF Code Sensor Tags
RFCode sensor tags supply information about a particular state such as temperature, contact state, humidity and fluid detection. The primary purpose of a Sensor Tag is not to track the location of an asset, but rather to track the rolling value of the sensors the tag provides.
Product Name | Description | Common Uses | Technical Specifications | Status |
R156 - Gen2 Humidity - Temperature Sensor | Improved surface mount Temperature/Humidity sensor design with longer battery life and more efficient communications. | The sensor is surface mounted exactly where a temperature reading is needed. Typically this is on Racks and Cabinet doors in a datacenter, but the sensor can be used anywhere temperature data is needed as long as it is within range of an RFCode fixed reader | R156 Specifications | Active Product |
R151 - Tethered Temperature Sensor | A sensor tag with a remote temperature sensor connected by a small cable. The surface mount R156 temperature sensor will not always work correctly in certain situations. For areas in that are RF shielded, or are exposed to condensation, the R151 can separate the point at which the temperature reading is sampled from where the electronics and RF transmitter is located. | Common applications include temperature readers under a RF shielded raised floor or within aluminized duct work which acts as a barrier for RF transmission. The sensor can also be used to monitor industrial machinery where a deep sensor reading is needed within shielded component such as commercial freezers. | R151 Specifications |
Active Product
Note: Model R151-0010-004 Has been discontinued. |
R120 - Door Sensor | Sensor that monitors whether are door is open or closed. | Can be used on any door that has a suitable surface for mounting. Common uses include IT closet doors, IT cabinet doors, and colocation cage doors. | R120 Specifications | Active Product |
R130 - Dry Contact Sensor | Sensor that monitors dry contact or closed loop monitoring circuit. | Typically used for monitoring UPS and other electrical systems with dry contact terminals. May also be used as a remotely wired door sensor. | R130 Specifications | Active Product |
R135 - Fluid Detector | A film type sensor that reports when water or water based fluids come in contact. Various lengths of fluid sensing strips may be used. | Typically deployed under raised floors to detect condensation of coolant leaks, or used near overhead CRAC in non raised floor data centers. Also has other industrial application. | R135 Specifications | Active Product |
