How do I find the IP address of my reader?
There are a number of ways to determine a Reader’s IP address. Two are provided here.
1. Using the Reader Label
a. Browse to the default host address found on the bottom of the reader. For example, for
Reader rfcodeab1ab2, navigate to
http://rfcodeab1ab2.<yourcompanydomain>.com
2. Using USB
a. First, establish a physical connection (serial over USB) to the USB “B” port on the
back of the reader. If, once connected, the reader is not recognized by Windows, you
will need to update the RF Code USB driver:

b. Use the Reader Configuration Utility (RCU) (this is shipped with your reader or available
via downloaded from www.rfcode.com). In RCU, choose the Local option to
find the IP Address.
