How to Perform a Factory Reset on an M250 Reader

NOTE: The USB cable to the PC MUST be disconnected during this process.

To reset the settings on an M250 Reader, perform the following steps:

 

1. Flip the reader upside-down with the antennae facing downward.
    
2. Use a very thin object, e.g., an unfolded paperclip, and press the reset button in and hold it in for five (5) seconds. 
   
   The lights should blink and then will reboot upon releasing the button.
   
   After the reset, the device will revert to factory defaults, which means that the IP address (and all settings, including the password) will be reset and return to its factory default setting of being assigned by DHCP.
